What is it like to drive a professional monster truck?
There is no real way to describe the adrenaline rush you get while smashing the throttle in a professional monster truck. The best way to find out is to book your experience today!
Do I need to have a special license to drive a monster truck?
No, you do not need a special license or license endorsements to drive one of our monster trucks.
Are there physical requirements to drive a monster truck?
While there are no true requirements, the ideal candidates for the professional monster trucks have a height of 62 inches (5’2”) to 75 inches (6’3”) and a weight between 120 lbs and 240 lbs. Additionally, you should have medium upper body strength to help you when climbing in and out of the monster truck and while maneuvering.
For the mini-monster trucks, a height range of 48 inches (4') to 58 inches (4'10") and weight of at least 60 lbs is required.
What is the age limit to drive a monster truck?
All participants in the Professional Monster Trucks must be at least 18 years of age. For the Mini-Monster Trucks, children should be at least 5 years old and meet the following size requirements: a height range of 48 inches (4') to 58 inches (4'10") and weight of 40 lbs to 70 lbs.
Is it safe to drive a monster truck?
All motorsports are inherently dangerous, but monster trucks have some of the strictest safety guidelines of any motorsport. All of our trucks have reinforced roll cages built directly into the chassis framework of the truck, custom built racing seats and harnesses, and all participants will be provided with the necessary safety gear to drive the truck.
Can I bring my friends and family to watch?
Yes, each driver may bring up to three (3) spectators.
What happens if I break the monster truck?
If the damage is due to parts failure you will be brought back to the garage area where the truck will be repaired and then sent back out to the training track. If the damage is due to driver negligence or not following direction from instructors or safety officials, Drive REAL Monster Trucks reserves the right to end your session without a refund.
How big are the obstacles?
The obstacles on the track can range anywhere from 3’ to 7’ in height. Sounds small? We’ll ask you again after you drive the monster truck.
What should I wear on the day of my monster truck driving experience?
Our suggestion is to wear comfortable clothes or bring a change of clothes to wear under a fire suit.
When do I pay the balance of the bill for my experience?
When you register online, you will be required to put a 25% deposit down to hold your date and experience. The remaining balance will be due upon arrival on the day of your experience if you are paying with cash, cashier's check, or money order. Credit card payments must be processed the night before your experience.
Will there be other trucks on the track at the same time?
No, you or your group will be the only drivers on the track during your experience. The only time we have multiple trucks on the track during one experience is when there is more than one person in YOUR group.
How big is the monster truck training track?
The track is 350'x100', with obstacles built in.
What type of monster trucks do you use?
Drive REAL Monster Trucks uses professionally competing monster trucks. Each truck is custom built from tubing and are metal marvels equipped with blown, alcohol injected 540 c.i. engines, rear steering, and the most up-to-date safety devices. When they are not being used as driving experience trucks, our trucks tour the country as Stinger Unleashed, Pretty Wicked, and Bearly Tame.
Will safety equipment be supplied?
All necessary safety equipment will be provided to you. When you arrive, the first thing you will do is be fitted for the proper gear and safety devices.
Is food or beverage provided with my experience?
No, we do not provide food or beverage other than water. For drivers who choose a longer experience, it is a good idea to bring your own snacks or lunch and additional beverages if you prefer something other than water. Alcohol will not be permitted.
